Job Description

Position Overview

To carry out chemical and physical evaluation of unedited materials, process intermediates, and finished pellets, making sure adherence with quality benchmarks and requirements necessary for productive pellet plant processes.

Primary duties

  • Carry out standard procedure chemical evaluation of iron ore, additives (lime, bentonite, coke breeze, etc.), and pellet samples.
  • Execute inspection procedures on unedited materials, green pellets, indurated pellets, and finished goods to guarantee adherence with metallurgical and chemical requirements.
  • Operate and preserve laboratory tools which includes spectrophotometers, XRF, AAS, titration setups, and moisture analyzers.
  • Track process parameters and deliver promptly response to processes for corrective actions to preserve product standard.
  • Ensure precise recordkeeping, document-keeping, and status updates of test outcomes.
  • Assist analysis, development, and workflow optimization programs for pellet quality improvement.
  • Follow safety, health, and ecological guidelines while managing chemicals and laboratory tools.
  • Calibrate and confirm laboratory instruments to guarantee precision of test outcomes.
  • Help in getting ready routine, on a weekly basis, and every month Quality control documentation for management and process teams.
  • Organize with generation and process regulate teams for diagnosing issues and addressing quality concerns.

Credentials & Expertise

Education: Bachelor's degree / Master's degree Academic qualification in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or associated discipline. Expertise: 2–5 years in a mining, metallurgical, or pellet plant Quality control laboratory (fresh graduates possessing applicable intern/development may also be assessed).

Competencies and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of chemical evaluation methods and quality assurance standardized processes.
  • Understanding with ISO/ASTM/IS guidelines applicable to iron ore and pellet evaluation.
  • Competence in using laboratory instruments (XRF, AAS, titrators, etc.).
  • Effective communication and status updates competencies.
  • Solution-oriented capability with focused awareness to description.
  • Expertise in health and safety protocols in managing chemicals and laboratory work.
