Chemistry and Biology Tutor at Truth Private School in Mushin, Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a driven and skilled Biology/Chemistry Tutor to join our academic team. The successful applicant will be in charge of supplying premium quality science guidance to students at the high school grade, using compelling and practical methods to advance curiosity, comprehension, and academic superiority.

Primary duties

• Organize and supply compelling lessons in Biology and Chemistry based on the Nigerian syllabus (and other authorized syllabuses if relevant).
• Formulate lesson strategies, training helps, and practical initiatives that promote practical learning.
• Evaluate students’ advancement routinely through classwork, tests, and examinations.
• Preserve precise records of students’ effectiveness and offer feedback criticism.
• Combine Islamic values and moral direction where relevant, in line with the school's purpose.
• Motivate active student involvement and oversee classroom conduct productively.
• Arrange and oversee laboratory strategic trials and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Work alongside other science teachers and engage in unit-specific organizing and school initiatives.
• Organize students for external examinations which includes WAEC, NECO, and internal evaluations.
