Assistant accountant / Internal Auditor at Bamboo Nigeria in Nigeria (Remote)

Scope of Position

In this position, you will assist preserve precise finance records, guarantee adherence with compliance guidelines, and help in organizing and carrying out internal audits across various business processes. You will play a main responsibility in recognizing process enhancements, assisting adjustments, and getting ready audit recordkeeping to strengthen our entire financial honesty and reliability.

Core Accounting Processes:

• Document routine financial financial record in the general ledger and ensure precise coding.
• Organize and resolve financial statements, supplier accounts, and client accounts.
• Help in end of month and end of year closing initiatives, which includes transaction entries and accruals.
• Assist the project setup of management documentation and balance sheet and income statement in line with IFRS and local rules.

Cross-Operational Assist:

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance-related agencies as necessary.
• Work alongside other departments to settle financial or process-associated concerns.
• Offer as-needed evaluation and assist to executive team for strategic judgment.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• 2-3 years of expertise in accounting, audit, or adherence
• Expertise in IFRS and Nigerian GAAP.
• Basic comprehension of internal regulate frameworks and financial rules.
• Robust competence in Excel spreadsheet software; expertise with QuickBooks or similar financial system is a plus.
• Logical and critical thinking competencies.
• Robust meticulousness and honesty and reliability.
• Clear articulation and documentation-skilled in writing.
• Capability to organize schedule and deliver on time.
