Overview
- The Sr. Programme manager will work hand in hand with the top level executive team to offer monitoring to programme execution.
- This comprises strategic, programmatic, technical, financial and grants management honesty and reliability of the MOMENTUM Country and Worldwide Executive guidance (MCGL), Quality of Care (QoC) project to support to reduction of maternal and child morbidity and mortality in Nigeria, and to grow the capacity of health operational structures to sustainably assist quality health care solutions.
- It is expected that MCGL project will assist five states to execute RMNCH in-field skills development, Nutrition, Referral and standard enhancement initiatives. S/he will therefore assist the operationalization the ongoing MCGL workplan (July to March 2026) that goal to enhance the maternal health and deaths in women of reproductive age at the national and State level.
- S/he will be in charge of monitoring of work strategy execution, making sure adherence with USG, other donors as suitable and Jhpiego rules, conceptualizing supervising and advance notice operational structures and assisting state workspaces in entire programme management.
- The Sr Programme manager will organize with the project team and supervise employees in country to guarantee advisors/vendors accomplish programme targets.
- The Sr. Programme manager will formulate, preserve, strengthen and expand a cooperative approach and programme recordkeeping. The candidate will act as the primary point of reach out on programme management with donor and GoN participants and will answer to the Project head.

Duties
- Aids top level management in offering management and technical monitoring of programme, making sure that programme initiatives are productively and productively executed.

Necessary Credentials
- Postgraduate degree in development Studies, Community health, Health Management, International Health or a relevant field
- Deep knowledge of the site of RMNCH with leadership background in community health programs. S/he must be knowledgeable about the reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) group in Nigeria.
- 10+ years’ expertise in management, business and specialized skill with a preference in RMNCH programme execution
- 5+ years of expertise coordinating large, multi-year international sector development projects (approximately $2 mil per year) that possess executed successful initiatives in zones of reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health solutions.
- Comprehension of the Nigerian (or similar) community-related and political circumstance and progress updates in the health sector
- Expertise recruiting and directing staff and making sure they obtain the necessary development and competencies to meet continuously adapting programme needs
- Outstanding diplomacy competencies and a verified ability to establish and sustain interpersonal and mutually beneficial relationships with organizer-country counterparts and delegates from other primary stakeholders which includes the FMoH, SMoH, SPHCDA, Nonprofit organizations, Specialist Associations, the private sector and other donors.
