Soc Evaluator at Unified Payment Services Limited in Lagos

Position Goal(s)

SOC analysts are assessed the final line of defense and they usually work as part of a large guard team, operating alongside guard managers and information security engineers.

Obligations & Duties

• Threat Discovery and Supervising: Constantly track guard warnings and events using SIEM & cybersecurity resources to identify possibility threats and vulnerabilities.
• Investigating, documenting, and status updates on any cyber security (InfoSec) concerns in addition to emerging practices.
• Guard Instrument Management: Set up, oversee, and enhance guard resources which includes firewalls, intrusion discovery/prevention operational structures (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
• Computer forensics – must be knowledgeable about computer forensic methods that can assist prevent cybercrime. Duty comprise of collecting, evaluating, and status updates guard data.
• Issue resolution process: Explore guard incidents, address guard breaches, and execute corrective actions and getting ready disaster recovery strategies
• Guard Evaluation: Evaluate guard data to recognize practices, patterns, and anomalies, offering practical findings to reduce risk risks.
• Status updates and Recordkeeping: Record incidents, produce documentation on guard events, and preserve precise records of inquiries and outcomes.
• Partnership and Information exchange: Collaborate with other IT and guard teams to organize responses to threats and convey findings to applicable participants.
• Collaborate with other IT and cybersecurity teams to settle guard concerns.
• Work alongside third-party vendors, advisors, and handled guard service vendors (MSSPs) as needed.
• Ongoing development: Stay informed with the latest information security practices, threat landscapes, and industry standards to improve SOC processes.

Qualifications

Education: Bsc in computer science, Cyber security, or relevant field, with 2 - 7 years of work expertise.
