Process Safety Organizer at a Fast-growing Indigenous Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream Oil and Gas Group - Associates Consulting Limited in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom

Key Responsibilties

• Formulate, execute, and oversee process safety programs to prevent and minimize risks linked to industrial processes.
• Make sure that the Process Safety Management (PSM) system is conforming with compliance obligations (e.g., OSHA PSM, EPA RMP).
• Head and carry out consistent Process Hazard Evaluation (PHA), which includes HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies, risk evaluations, and other safety evaluation.
• Collaborate with within and outside the organization participants to recognize industry standards and execute the same.
• Mentor management in strategic judgment by exchanging qualifications of codes and guidelines.
• Execute learning’s from various within and outside the organization accidents at sites.
• Actively lead Management Evaluation procedure, in conjunction with the Top level Management & on-site Safety team.
• Formulate and execute the operational structures so that process safety qualifications are handled in different stages ofplant (i.e. design, projects, initiating and processes).
• Formulate Process Safety information for Chemicals and Methods.
• Checking performance of regulates deployed through various risk evaluations studies like HAZOP, QRA and other process safety risk evaluation methods.
• Assess Management of adjustment by application of appropriate risk evaluation method
• Streamline safety qualifications and operational structures in new projects
• Consciousness of various lawful qualifications
• Track systemic regulates deployed for minimizing process safety risk and improve PSM of plant
• Interact with Group HSEF Heads on the efficiency boost strategies and every month, every quarter and annually Status.
• Track and organize score cards for top and lagging HSEF Indicators.
• Good expertise in OD characteristics.
• Consciousness on In charge Care, skilled in execution of IMS. Good comprehension on Centre for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) standard procedures.
• Expertise on risk evaluations of high outcome events
• Effective communication and public speaking
• Exposure to carrying out safety audits and ensure compliances
• Capability to oversee various participant and promote good relations.
• Capability to deliver outcomes, lead transformation, commercial understanding and collaboration.
• Effective communication & public speaking; capability to coordinate with external agencies.
• Well versed with MS workspace.
• Deep comprehension and expertise in HSEF qualifications during Project and Process phases.
• Knowledgeable about JSA/HAZOP/EIA.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical / Mechanical with Improved / Post Certification in Industrial Safety is essential, NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA would be beneficial.
