Male server / Female server at Excel and Grace Consulting in Port Harcourt, Rivers

Position Overview

We are seeking a specialist and client-oriented Male server/Female server to join our service team. The preferred candidate will be in charge of taking orders, serving food and drinks, participating to guests’ needs, and making sure a smooth and pleasant dining expertise for all clients. You must be polite, well-groomed, and possess robust interpersonal and verbal abilities.

Duties

• Welcome clients warmly and show menus.
• Take precise food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve F&B promptly and competently.
• Arrival processing with guests to guarantee fulfillment and manage any service issues politely.
• Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
• Keep the dining zone clean and structured at all times.
• Follow hygiene and safety rules at all times.
• Process payments and problem receipts using POS or cash.
• Help in setting up before service and closing obligations after service.
• Advance menu items and upsell where suitable .

Qualifications

• At least SSCE; further development in hotel management will be an added advantage.
• 1–3 years of expertise as a male server or female server in a dining venue, hotel, social space, or culinary service setup.
• Good spoken English
• Clear articulation and people skills.
• Task juggling skill and work in a dynamic environment.
• Must be polite, respectful, and client-service oriented.
• Readiness to operate adaptable changes, which includes weekends and holidays.
• Professional in appearance appearance and good personal hygiene.
