Assistant Forklift driver at The Candel FZE in Lagos

Position Overview

The Assistant Forklift driver will undergo development to learn how to safely and productively operate forklifts and other warehouse tools. The position includes assisting warehouse processes, learning proper managing of goods, and adhering with all safety and business guidelines.

Primary duties

• Engage in forklift process development sessions and evaluations.
• Learn to operate forklifts in a safe, productive, and in charge manner with guidance.
• Help in loading, unloading, stacking, and moving goods inside the warehouse or yard.
• Assist warehouse employees in arranging, organizing, and preserving stock.
• Follow safety regulations, business standardized processes, and organisation rules at all times.
• Documentation any tools faults, safety risks, or business matters at once.
• Help with basic servicing & maintenance checks on forklifts (oil, water, tyre pressure, etc.).
• Execute any other obligations as allocated by supervisors or trainers.

Qualifications

• At least High school diploma (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Physical fitness and capability to deliver documented guide managing duty.
• Good eyesight, hearing, and hand–eye synchronization.
• Capability to adhere to guidance and work in a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy competencies.
• On time, dependable, and safety-aware.
• No prior forklift expertise necessary, but previous warehouse or logistics exposure is a plus.
• Must be capable to lead a vehicle and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Not more than 35 years.
