Boiler Technician at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc in Apapa, Lagos

Objective

To operate productively and preserve FMN or GSC Boiler tools while coordinating with with Boiler Manager, Sectional Managers and processes to always supply all premium quality steam.

Responsiblities

To guarantee in partnership with Utilities team that all Boilers in FMN or GSC, and connected tools are operated reliably per OEM guidelines and industry standards in the industry. In partnership with the utilities executive team, to carry out entire preventative; corrective; shutdown/fix servicing & maintenance for all the boilers as allocated in line with set OEM guidelines and SOP. Coordinate with other boiler utilities technicians and on-site/plant processes to always supply thermal efficiencies (fuel/steam; fuel/finished product; condensate utilization, right boiler water chemistry) and any other utilities advancement plan in line with generation needs while proactively mitigating downtimes as much as possible. Repeatedly upskill oneself to confront boiler business realities with a view to role oneself for next hurdles.

Credentials / Expertise

5 O’ level Credits which includes English & Mathematics in not more than two sittings/Technical credentials. At least two years of related experience, ideally in the FMCG Industry.

The person must :

• Possess good interpersonal and verbal abilities.
• Possess practical experience with preventive and corrective servicing & maintenance of industrial boilers and auxiliary operational structures.
• Possess sound expertise in boiler processes, servicing & maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Be safety-aware and dedicated to upholding workplace safety and wellness rules in all processes.
