Skilled Maintenance technician at Hotel Capitol in Ojodu-Ikeja, Lagos

Position Overview

We are seeking a proficient and dependable Maintenance technician to execute standard procedure servicing & maintenance duty and repairs across our facility. The preferred candidate will make sure that tools, utilities, and structure are functioning productively and safely, minimising non-operational time and assisting smooth processes.

Primary duties

• Execute preventive servicing & maintenance and basic repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning operational structures.
• Examine buildings, tools, and operational structures to recognize concerns and carry out necessary repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, clean fixtures, fix doors, paint surfaces, and execute other general servicing & maintenance duty.
• Track and preserve building guard operational structures, fire alarms, and crisis lighting.
• Help with tools system setups, relocations, and upgrades as necessary.
• Take action promptly to servicing & maintenance service requests and settle them productively.
• Keep records of work carried out and documentation key repairs or tools needs to the manager.
• Guarantee adherence with safety and business guidelines at all times.
• Preserve resources and servicing & maintenance inventory in good operating order.
• Help with groundskeeping, waste disposal, and general upkeep of the facility.

Qualifications

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent; technical development or accreditation in a applicable trade (electrical, plumbing, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, etc.) will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated expertise in building or tools servicing & maintenance.
• Basic expertise in hand resources, power resources, and general fix methods.
• Capability to read technical documented guides, plans, and diagrams.
• Good physical requirement and the capability to lift heavy tools or materials.
• Meticulousness, analytical abilities, and the capability to operate independently or in a collaborative environment.
• Expertise in office health and safety protocols and PPE use.
