Job Description
Position Overview
Under the entire direction and oversight of the Top level Programme Manager with monitoring from the MEL Manager, the Top level MEL Expert will head the M&E and Learning plan of the Danone project within TechnoServe Nigeria, which includes organizing and executing productive operational structures and standardized processes that produce prompt, premium quality data and evaluation that enable strategic judgment and adaptive management. The candidate will execute the technical initiatives connected with M&E for the project and act as the primary point of reach out for data collection and aggregation that aids status updates and will offer inputs to guide strategic judgment for the project. The Top level MEL Expert will remain in charge of supplying the Programme’s Monitoring and evaluation initiatives and status updates. S/he will establish the MEL calendar of initiatives, assist the project team in its dispatch, and make sure that clear learning targets are defined. The Top level MEL Expert will be in charge of every quarter and yearly data collection, storage and evaluation, baselining, and every quarter and yearly status updates on the project’s indicators. This role will also be in charge of assisting other similar projects, particularly around Dairy generation and stock chain inside the Nigerian market.

TechnoServe’s Building a Resilient Local Dairy Stock Chain in Nigeria goals to build a precision, maintainable, and efficient local dairy full operational cycle in Nigeria within 4 years in a way that gains the revenues, adaptability, and carbon footprint of dairy farmers in Nigeria.
Skills development
Offer onboarding to project employees on the project’s MEL Strategy in addition to for other similar projects participated in Dairy Generation and Stock Chain. Build capacity of project employees and associates on data collection and data use for learning.
Preferred Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a applicable field with 5 years of expertise or MSC with a minimum of 3 years’ expertise
- Comprehensive Monitoring and evaluation expertise with agricultural projects, especially in dairy/livestock.
- Private sector, advising or INGO expertise.
- 5 years of expertise with MEL methods and approaches in an international development circumstance, which includes designing, organizing, and executing MEL operational structures, evaluating, and status updates using a logical structure, and other strategic organizing approaches.
Necessary Languages:
Competence in English. Robust documented and spoken communication verbal abilities and expertise generating clear and brief documentation. Capacity to convert analysis, structured approaches, and data into reachable data layouts for teammates with non-technical profile.
