Position Overview

The Project assistant for Climate and Smart Agriculture will play a key role in executing and assisting agricultural programs that are resilient to climate adjustment. This role includes responsibility for operating closely with local networks and associates to advance maintainable farming procedures, enhance food guard, and improve the livelihoods of farmers in Mubi.

Duties

  • Programme Execution: Help in the organizing, execution, and supervising of all climate-smart agriculture initiatives.
  • Public involvement: Work directly with local farmers and group groups to offer learning and IT assistance on new agricultural methods and technical solutions.
  • Data Collection: Carry out site visits to collect data on programme advancement, hurdles, and effect.
  • Status updates: Support to the project setup of prompt and precise documentation on programme initiatives.
  • Synchronization: Work alongside other team members and external associates to guarantee the on-time completion of project targets.
  • Logistics: Assist the logistical components of programme initiatives, which includes organizing workshops and site events.

Credentials

  • A Bsc in Agriculture, Ecological Science, Rural Development, or a relevant field.
  • Proven operating expertise in Mubi is essential.
  • Expertise in agricultural extension, social advancement, or a similar position.
  • Deep knowledge of maintainable and climate-smart agricultural procedures.
  • Clear articulation and people skills, with the capability to operate productively with multifaceted groups of people.
  • Competence in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Fulfulde) is a plus.
  • Skilled in Ms office tools.
