Position Overview

The Oil Trader is in charge of buying and closing sales crude oil and associated petroleum goods in worldwide markets with the goal of creating profit for the organization or its customers. This position includes market evaluation, planning process, trade implementation, risk mitigation strategy, and preserving solid connections with key market participants.

Duties Market Evaluation:

Evaluate worldwide oil markets which includes stock and requirement practices, price movements, and geopolitical progress updates. Recognize trading avenues by interpreting market data and predicting practices.

Trading Plan:

Formulate and execute trading plans in sync with market findings, risk tolerance, and strategic objectives. Assess effectiveness of trading plans and enhance as appropriate.

Trade Implementation:

Bargain and implement trades including physical oil goods (crude, refined goods) and derivatives (futures, options, swaps). Guarantee promptness implementation and dispatch of trades.

Risk mitigation strategy:

Track and oversee market, credit, and business risks. Execute hedging plans to reduce risk exposure and protect profits.

Connection Management:

Build and sustain solid connections with suppliers, refiners, brokers, and other traders. Serve as a key reach out in business-related talks and communications.

Logistics & supply:

Work alongside logistics teams to guarantee smooth movement and storage of oil goods. Supervise comprehensive stock chain processes connected with traded goods.

Adherence and Recordkeeping:

Verify that every trading initiatives are conforming with relevant legal provisions, rules, and organisation rules. Preserve precise and finalize recordkeeping of all financial record.

Effectiveness Supervising:

Track and evaluate trading effectiveness, profit margin, and process effectiveness. Endorse and execute enhancements to trading operational structures and methods.
