R & D Manager - Printing Ink at SOLEVO Group in Lagos

Job Description

Formulate and enhance ink formulations for flexo and gravure printing applications, concentrating on both water- and solvent-based technical solutions.
Head new product development projects, from idea through revenue generation.
Ensure color matching, drying conduct, adhesion, and print effectiveness through thorough lab running test.
Constantly enhance production operations methods for quality uniformity, cost reduction, and effectiveness gains.
Offer technical service and diagnosing issues during client field experiments and post-sale assist.
Oversee lab processes, which includes unedited material running test, QA, and safety guidelines.
Work alongside cross-operationally with sales, generation, and stock chain teams to align Research & development endeavors with market needs.

Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or associated fields.
15+ years of practical experience in printing ink formulation and technical service, ideally in wrapping applications.
In-depth domain expertise of resins, pigments, solvents, additives, and formulation plans.
Deep comprehension of printing methods (flexographic, gravure) and press-side application.

Expertise in maintainable formulation practices, which includes low-VOC and bio-based inks.
Comprehension of best production operations procedures, legal adherence, and ecological guidelines.
Understanding with regional and worldwide ink markets and client demands.
