Job Description

Help in fault clearing and the instant restoration of feeders Correctly use and preserve power resources, test tools and measuring instruments.
Recognize different types of power cables and different cores and pairs for regulate (multi-core) cables.
Organize different types of cables with different cable sheathing operational structures and accessories for the jointing process.
Joint copper or aluminium conductor cables using soldering, mechanical or compression methods.
Terminate cables using soldering, mechanical or compression methods.
Insulate cable joints and terminations according to the requirements or code of practice using heat shrink tubing or cold blend compound.
Laying of power cables on the ground surface or in trenches as per applicable and relevant guidelines.
Termination of power cables in switchboard, panels, transformers and lines.
Reduction in feeder outage period by a quick response rate to fault clearing.
Preventive servicing & maintenance of 33 & 11kV outdoor and indoor breakers.
Installation of cable at the injection substation.
Termination of cable on tools at the injection substation.
Installation of R.M.U. Feeder pillars at the injection substation.
Use safety tools, protective devices and tools.
Correctly direct, oversee and move competencies to any apprentice or semi-proficient worker allocated to him to guarantee safety and quality of work.

At least SSCE, Trade test, OND in Electrical Engineering or any relevant field.
2 - 5 years of work expertise in a similar position.
