We are recruiting a Engineering operations manager to head the engineering team that supplies the crucial parts of Ubuntu - our system new venture, compilers, language runtimes and toolchains, in addition to relationship building and storage config and management.

As an Engineering operations manager on the Foundations team, you will be central to pushing Ubuntu operating at the unique overlap of the launch acquire ecosystem, and enterprise technologists.

Head and grow a team of distributed engineers
Show audio engineering principles through active and practical executive guidance
Be in charge of organizing, estimation and implementation

Work alongside cross-operational executive guidance teams
Lead the progression and adoption of the latest software development procedures
Design, embrace and evangelize great engineering and corporate procedures
Grow a healthy, cooperative engineering culture in line with organisation values
Engage with other teams at Canonical to guarantee alignment on product architecture and roadmaps
WFH while meeting in person for organisation sprints. Sprints are typically twice a year for 1-2 weeks.
