Laravel Frontend & backend Engineers at Iconic Open University in Sokoto

Position Overview

We are looking for skilled Laravel Frontend & backend Engineers to join our Software Development Unit. You will collaborate with User interface/User experience UI/UX professionals, PMs, Quality assurance, and other developers to build and preserve our suite of web apps and channels that serve students, employees, and administrators.

Duties

• Design, formulate, test, and preserve frontend & backend Laravel-based web apps.
• Compose clean, ability to scale, and well-recorded PHP (Laravel) backend code.
• Build interactive, responsive front-end parts using Vue.js, React, AlpineJS or Blade.
• Combine RESTful APIs and third-party solutions.
• Engage in software architecture discussions and code assessments.
• Work alongside User interface/User experience UI/UX professionals to execute frontend capabilities with precision.
• Enhance applications for speed and scalability.
• Preserve version regulate using Git.
• Diagnose issues and troubleshoot concerns across the stack.
• Support to organizing, estimation, and development sprints using Nimble structured approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of frontend & backend development expertise with Laravel.
• Expertise with databases which includes MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Expertise with in-memory data stores which includes Memcached and Redis.
• Expertise with different caching mechanisms.
• Robust competence in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Competence in frontend frameworks which includes Vue.js, React, or AlpineJS.
• Competence in CSS frameworks which includes Bootstrap, TailwindCSS, etc.
• Expertise with RESTful APIs and web solutions consolidation.
• Skilled with version regulate resources, especially Git.
• Understanding with modern development resources and Development-operations pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of Model-View-Controller architecture and OOP principles.
• Capability to operate independently and within a cooperative collaborative environment.

Preferred Credentials:

• Expertise with different caching mechanisms (e.g., DB query caching, HTTP caching, object caching)
• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and drafting automated tests.
• Expertise in cloud channels like AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean..
• Previous collaborate with teaching channels, LMS, or EdTech resources.
• Comprehension of availability and guard industry standards.
• Expertise operating in dynamic environments.
• Outstanding analytical abilities and meticulousness.
