Technician - Ginning Machine Servicing & maintenance at Ascentech Services Limited (6 Openings) in Nigeria

Primary duties

• Supervise and track the full ginning process, from seed cotton feeding to bale formation, making sure smooth and productive processes.
• Execute standard procedure and corrective mechanical reliability of ginning machines to reduce non-operational time.
• Oversee electrical servicing & maintenance initiatives, which includes upkeep of generators and compressors.
• Track, record, and settle all fix and system failure concerns, preserving precise servicing & maintenance data records.
• Strategy and implement yearly mechanical and electrical servicing & maintenance plans for generation and utility machinery.
• Organize yearly procurement lists for imported items needed for season-end servicing & maintenance.
• Track technical items sent outside for fix or modification and guarantee promptness client engagement.
• Oversee issuance of spare parts and consumables from stores to assist functions.
• Carry out consistent every month stock of technical spares, preserve precise records, and increase prompt requisitions to avoid inventory shortages.

Expertise:

A minimum of 10 years of expertise in a cotton ginning factory, with 5–6 years of direct practical experience in self-sufficient ginning machine servicing & maintenance. Age: Below 45 years.

Essential skills:

• Robust domain expertise of ginning machine processes, mechanical, and electrical operational structures.
• Verified ability to manage preventive and corrective servicing & maintenance independently.
• Outstanding diagnosing issues and analytical abilities.
• Robust document-keeping and stock management capability.
• Capability to oversee assistants and organize with generation teams productively.
