Position Overview
- In charge of the entire management and technical processes of the vessels under his duty. This comprises monitoring the routine servicing & maintenance and fix, financial planning, survey planning, onboard general evaluation of vessels, inspections and docking when necessary.
- Ensure Organisation owned and handled vessels are operated in a safe, productive and economical manner and completely aligned with Class and Statutory rules.
- Ensure the allocated vessels are fully functional technically or otherwise handled as appropriate to the management accord qualifications.
- To preserve the classification status of the vessels under his charge and to guarantee that the survey status documentation are sent to the vessels on a every month basis.
- Assist and track on-board Organized Preventive Servicing & maintenance to guarantee economical management and efficient execution of this operation.
- Make sure that Vessels Organized servicing & maintenance system is being operated and reported in the manner prescribed in the organization’s guidelines and standardized processes.
- Financial plan duty for technical elements of the allocated vessels.
- Accountable for managing the installation and accreditation of 3rd party tools on the vessels, which includes Diving, ROV and other short-term tools.
- Coordinate with Vessel Masters and Head Engineers as necessary and offering technical guidance and support as required.
- Recognize and acquire for technical and business inventory necessary for the vessels and make sure that the rates are most economical.
- Co-ordinate and oversee service repairs, utilizing authorized sub-service providers as necessary and verify that every such repairs are finished in a prompt and acceptable manner and inside the vessel’s set business financial plan.
- Organize precise and complete vessel dry-dock requirements and to oversee dry-dockings and repairs to finalization as directed. Dry dockings and repairs may take place at a site remote from normal place of work.
- Coordinating with with fix yard management, sub-service providers, Class and Management to guarantee all works are carried out in accordance with accepted requirements and time plans.
- Offering documented documentation as necessary, outlining in service repairs dry-docking repairs and surveys, which includes expenses incurred during such initiatives.
- Verify that every applicable information regarding a vessel fix / docking is current in the PMS system.
- Coordinate with clients on technical and business matters which includes vessel effectiveness.
- Coordinate with the Buying department to guarantee that buy requisitions are being tracked and fast tracked without delay. Answer to Mobility manager when setbacks possess the possibility to effect on vessels business capabilities. Ensure at least spare qualifications are fulfilled.
- Execute every month evaluate of data records methods and participate to vessel inspections and send documentation.
- In charge of the regulate and updating of the vessel Technical Library (ship’s strategies and drawings) as necessary.
- Ensure IMCA standard procedures and “best industry procedures” are was aligned with at all times.
- Supervise and offer input to organize bid proposals which includes establishing expenses/financial plans/programs and be part of subsequent offer/tender reviews.
- Support to the evaluation and selection of fix yards and technical service vendors.
- Carry out appraisals of Head Engineers on board his vessel at end of their agreement.

- Perform any other Technical associated tasks as and when necessary.
- Engage in yearly assessment and assess projects to decide success and how enhancements can be made in the future documentation and report results.
At least Credentials
Unlimited STCW ’95 Head Engineer’s permit (Motor) sea going vessels or Engineering academic qualification/certification in mechanics/electromechanical engineering.
