Position Overview

The Billing and cash clerk is in charge of managing all client financial record precisely and productively, preserving outstanding client support guidelines, and making sure smooth routine cash processes inside the supermarket. The position requires meticulousness, integrity, and the capability to operate in a dynamic environment.

Work tasks

• Welcome and participate to clients courteously during financial record.
• Operate the cash register, POS machine, and other departure processing tools.
• Ensure accurate invoicing and problem receipts for all buys.
• Manage cash, debit/credit card, and electronic payments with precision.
• Preserve proper cash drawer management, which includes float management and adjustments.
• Settle basic client service issues or report to higher support tier to the manager as required.
• Keep the departure processing zone clean, structured, and stocked with necessary inventory (e.g., shopping bags, receipt rolls).
• Documentation any discrepancies or suspected fraudulent initiatives at once.
• Assist sales and floor employees with client support when necessary.

Role expectations

• At least Upper high school Certification (WAEC).
• A minimum of 1 year of expertise as a billing and cash clerk in a supermarket or in-store business.
• Foundational knowledge in application of POS operational structures and cash registers.
• Good quantitative capability and precision in managing cash.
• Robust meticulousness and honesty and reliability.
• Capability to operate in a dynamic environment and manage pressure.
• Outstanding client support and verbal abilities.
• Readiness to operate changes, weekends, and national holiday.
