Project Explanation

• Northeast Nigeria is at present facing an expanding humanitarian crisis with a vast number of Internally Displaced Persons in need of crisis support.
• These IDPs are living among organizer networks, lacking entry to livelihoods and assets, ultimately top to unprecedented levels of malnutrition and food insecurity.
• FHI 360 possesses been operating in Nigeria for over 30 years and is now expanding initiatives in Borno state to address the IDP crisis.
• FHI 360 is expanding its proficiency by responding to this humanitarian crisis through combined WASH, Health/Nutrition, and Protection interventions.

Basic Operation

Under the direction of the logistics Manager, the Supply assistant will be in charge of the offering of logistical solutions and operating the warehouse containing a broad selection of project materials and tools.

Obligations and Duties

• Helps in the entry of on a weekly basis humanitarian cargo movement requests to the cluster.
• Assist fleet management/drivers’ onboarding etc.
• Confirm quantities of goods fulfilled, examine for loss, and enter DPA.
• Organize and keep documentation regarding the receipt and issuance of materials.
• Helps logistics coordinator on haulage assessment and dispatch of Goods.
• Modify computer stock regulate records.
• Execute periodic physical stock spot checks and matches with stock records.
• Help in assessing proper stock levels, ordering points, and ordering quantities.
• Liaises with the Field associate to reduce stock and eliminate obsolete items.
• Track usage of inventory and documentation on any incidence of loss or compensation.
• Executes any other obligations as allocated.
