What’s the position

The Chief Electrical systems engineer is in charge of supplying and successfully oversee the electrical discipline scope in the engineering, procurement, fabrication, and installation / building and brownfield modification of all facilities.  The position is for Nigerian nationals only.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the execution of electrical power operational structures qualifications during planning phase, fabrication, running test, installation, pre-initiating, and initiating of HI Project. Ensure the concluding goods fulfilled meet the electrical engineering qualifications in addition to the project scope of work and requirements.
  • Set up and oversee suitable operational structures necessary to assure honesty and reliability of the electrical components of projects.
  • Offer electrical engineering assist and steer for all electrical engineering outputs throughout project phases – Thorough Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication/Building, Initiating, and handover to Processes.
  • Offer combined guarantee as Responsible Technical Authority for Discipline Regulates and Guarantee Structure (DCAF), Project Regulates and Guarantee Strategy (PCAP) outputs and coordinate formation of discipline inputs by In charge Technical Governing bodies, thereby making sure project dispatch of affordable and attractive electrical scope in addition to adherence with a risk-based DCAF application.
  • Lead the tools selection and development of electrical discipline management plan.
  • Support to the development of suit-for-objective quality strategy and Assessment and Test Strategy (ITP), which includes materials management standardized process for the project.
  • Lead the recognition and lateral application of electrical discipline-associated learnings.
  • Offer guidance and mentoring for less skilled employees.
  • Support to the management of adjustment process to guarantee technical honesty and reliability, effectiveness, and safety of facilities as Head Electrical Technical Authority on HI Project.
  • Guarantee standard discipline input to key evaluate achievements which includes HAZOP, SAFOP, PSUA, etc.
  • Offer genuine and visible executive guidance in the zones of Health, safety, security, and environment, diversity, interpersonal and specialized abilities development, and cost executive guidance.

What you bring

  • Bsc in electrical engineering.
  • 10+ years of expertise in electrical engineering, ideally in the petroleum sector industry.
  • Comprehensive operating expertise in a project or asset environment.
  • Expertise in DEPs, industry guidelines, and electrical engineering rules.
  • COREN registered Electrical systems engineer.
  • Competence in power production and allocation operational structures, which includes solar/wind hybrid (remote marine operations) and up to 33kV (onshore).
  • Demonstrated expertise in supplying key deepwater greenfield or brownfield projects.
  • Outstanding expertise in the use of EFAs, Discipline Regulates and Guarantee Structure, and Technical Authority System.
  • Self-driven, with clear expression and partnership competencies.
  • Cozy operating in worldwide, cross-functional teams.
  • Track document of pushing ongoing development and coordinating adjustment.
  • Effective guidance, bargain, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Knowledgeable about project hurdles in Shallow Water/Deepwater Nigeria or similar region.
