Compliance-related Intermediary at Moniepoint Incorporated in Lagos (Remote)

About the position 

As a Compliance-related Intermediary, you will assist the Chief Legal adherence in making sure legal adherence across the company. Your main responsibility will be to serve as a communication link between the Adherence team and  Product Development team, other internal participants and authorities where relevant on adherence matters under the oversight of the Chief, Legal adherence.

Product Adherence:

• Work alongside Product Development to guarantee adherence-associated risks are comprehend and handled.
• Participate all standups and sessions to offer direction and circumstance on legal adherence concerns
• Coordinate the design and execution of product risk evaluations and adherence certifications.

Compliance-related Expertise:

Preserve deep understanding of compliance obligations, goods, and solutions. Convert adherence qualifications for Product staff and endorse plans to improve partnership.

Adherence Assist:

Offer adherence proficiency and assist to participants, which includes Cross-functional teams, Internal Auditors, and External Auditors. Guarantee promptness entry of compliance-related returns and servicing & maintenance of adherence rules and SOPs.

Risk mitigation strategy:

Recognize and report to higher support tier adherence risks, concerns, and effects. Endorse possibility adherence regulates and ensure the ML/TF/PF Enterprise Risk Evaluation is current and executed prompt.

Expertise: 

At least 3 to 5 years’ expertise in Adherence, Risk mitigation strategy, Internal Regulate, ideally in Payments Industry,  financial technology or banking environment.  Understanding and deep comprehension of compliance-related status updates qualifications.

Competencies & Skills: 

• Robust investigation and critical thinking with the capability to analyze transactional data and recognize suspicious activity. 
• Expertise in legal adherence in a CBN controlled environment. 
• Expertise in information security/confidentiality qualifications. 
• Outstanding verbal and professional writing competencies, which includes the capability to compose documentation, regulatory framework documents, SOP’s.record inquiries transparently and competently. 
• Robust meticulousness and the capability to oversee various cases at the same time. Capability to operate independently and jointly in a dynamic environment.
