Power Operational structures Technician at ipNX Nigeria Limited in Victoria Island, Lagos

Position Overview

In charge of the processes, servicing & maintenance and fix of the Electrical Power operational structures at the Data Centres and Point of Presence (POP) owned by the company. The Preferred candidate must reside on the Island.

Duties

• Implement preventive servicing & maintenance plans with/without third party vendors and modify applicable recordkeeping and checklist.
• Servicing & maintenance of various types of electrical power operational structures e.g. Switchgear, UPS, Creating sets, Rectifiers Inverters, Batter operational structures, AVR, ATS units, Transformers, PDU/PMM units.
• Track trending business characteristics
• Track and address abnormal terms in the UPS system, generators and ATS.
• Preserve thorough and current records of business concerns for audits and SLA associated purposes.
• Follow the good application of adjustment and system issue ticket linked to clients; Respect ITIL methods, incidents and modifications to SLA.

Credentials & Expertise

• A minimum of an HND qualification (Higher national diploma) in either Electrical and Electronics or other associated disciplines
• A minimum of 3 years of previous work expertise in a Data facility Processes environment or equivalent.
• Expertise diagnosing issues breakdowns and repairing electrical power operational structures devices and parts.
• Expertise with Portable Appliance Test System.
• Expertise in servicing & maintenance organizing, planning and connected servicing & maintenance work.
• Expertise with Data facility Structure Management (DCIM) resources is a plus.
• Possession of related sector accreditation or development sessions in Electrical Power operational structures installation, servicing & maintenance, and/or repairs.
• Expertise in tools installation, electrical and mechanical repairs, welding and fabrication, and safety and adherence.
• Good expertise in Microsoft Operating operational structures and Ms office tools.
• Adept at carrying out tests to recognize faults.
• Exhibited diagnosing issues and analytical abilities.
• Applicant must be capable to lift, push and pull up to 20kg.
• Applicant must be capable to tolerate temperature of below 20° C for extended periods of time.
• Capability to preserve robust operating connections with both within and outside the organization third parties.
