Role summary

A Janitorial assistant/Laundry position includes general cleaning and servicing & maintenance of appointed zones, along with coordinating the laundry process for linens, uniforms, and other items, which includes washing, drying, folding, and ironing. Essential responsibilities comprise of cleaning and sanitizing guest accommodations and common zones, stocking inventory, removing trash, status updates needed repairs, and preserving clean and structured linen guest accommodations and laundry zones.

Primary duties

• Cleaning and Sanitization: Execute cleaning duty which includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing surfaces in guest accommodations, bathrooms, and public zones.
• Laundry Processes: Collect, organize, wash, dry, fold, and iron various linens, towels, uniforms, and other fabric items using industrial machines and proper cleaning agents.
• Restocking and Inventory: Make sure that restrooms and other zones are sufficiently stocked with necessary inventory like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
• Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from appointed zones and preserve proper waste disposal procedures.
• Servicing & maintenance and Status updates: Recognize and documentation any compensation, tools malfunctions, or servicing & maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Company and Stock: Keep linen guest accommodations, storage zones, and laundry zones clean, structured, and well-stocked.
• Workplace safety and wellness: Follow workplace safety and wellness rules, which includes COSHH (Regulate of Substances Hazardous to Health) in some regions, and preserve a safe operating environment.
