Job position

  • Establish and run a maintainable procurement Program and standardized process.
  • Ensure management and co-ordination of all logistics initiatives.
  • Verify that every incoming parts, material, tools utility, and tools are bought from authorized vendors, possess proper recordkeeping, and ensure traceability is accessible for all procured item.
  • Arrange suitable facilities to offer secure storage of aircraft spare parts, material, tools utility, and tools and adhere with all relevant compliance obligation, OEM requirements and the industry’s guidelines.
  • Formulate and oversee the standardized process of issuance of parts, materials, and resources in and out of the store to guarantee responsibility and traceability.
  • Coordinate with freight service vendors to guarantee that import and export of cargo is carried out as per the industry’s guidelines to prevent, loss to cargo, loss of cargo, postponed dispatch of cargo and to guarantee the process is economical.
  • Preserve and oversee a at least-maximum inventory level.
  • Oversee all Stock chain, Logistics and Technical Store associated agreements as allocated by the Director of Servicing & maintenance and Engineering.
  • Oversee OEM consignment inventory in Green Africa’s custody and ensure traceability of such parts.
  • Productively oversee and implement instrument/part loan agreements.
  • Make sure that within and outside the organization audit findings are accordingly handled and closed when necessary.
  • Co-ordinates warranty requests to guarantee the process is properly handled.
  • Ensure periodic inventory taking program is done and inventory taking documentation is generated and distributed accordingly.
  • Carryout process evaluation and repeatedly enhance zones of underperformance.
  • Productively oversee AOG conditions to reduce aircraft ground time and enhance OTP.
  • Generate yearly financial plan for the Technical Store and Logistics unit.

Other Obligations:

Recognize development needs of employees and ensure they are prepared to advancement their performance on the position and adhere with compliance obligations. Preserve a list of authorized vendors and freight service vendors.

Credentials

  • Possess an Higher national diploma or Bachelor's degree certification in Stock Chain Management or any other applicable field of study (a member of a professional body is a plus).
  • Have previous work expertise in Stock Chain unit and Technical stores section of a business-related airline with 5 years’ work expertise out of which 3 years must possess been spent in a leadership role.
  • Have a good comprehension of stock chain management, logistics management and Technical Stores Management.
  • Have a good expertise in agreements, part fix, re-order level, part shelf life, part management, vendor management, resources management, Stores and Stock Chain Management software, shipping and clearing of goods etc.
  • Possess a good expertise in manufacturers’ documented guides e.g. AIPC, part CMMs etc.
  • Have good comprehension of NCAA Rule.
  • Be Computer literate with good comprehension of Office productivity software bundle

Others:

  • Be a Good speaker, with strong level of coordination abilities, initiative-driven thinking, schedule control and ongoing development logic.
  • Possess well-conceptualize people skills and operate efficiently in a diverse setting.
  • Capability to operate with limited oversight.
