Top level Technical specialist - Laboratory Solutions & QMS at Family Health International (FHI 360) in Nigeria

Position Overview

• The Top level Technical consultant-Laboratory solutions head the development and successful execution of project workplans and accomplishment of targets and outputs.
• Delivers technical, management and financial executive guidance to projects. Directs communications, synchronization, and status updates with associates for projects.
• Delivers technical support to strengthen lab management systems which includes point-of-care solutions.
• Manages organizing, carrying out, and status updates laboratory audits. Manages and delivers technical direction and guidance to employees.
• S/he will offer assistance to PRs/SRs in specific target states to enhance the quality of laboratory solutions accessible in health facilities in line with National standard procedures.

Obligations and Duties

• Offer engineering guidance and IT assistance connected with the laboratory solutions and management part of HIV/Helps care and treatment in the appointed zones for the Nigeria two-party project.
• Organize the design, organizing and execution of the laboratory part of HIV/Helps care and treatment, which includes ART, in partnership with state and group level project clinical employees, laboratory specialists and state and local agencies in Nigeria.
• Delivers technical and programmatic competence in diagnostics, standards oversight operational structures, SLMTA/SLIPTA and other laboratory guidelines.
• Directs the development and facilitation of development to diagnostic facilities and documentation on the performance of such development.
• Manages carry out of evaluations to diagnostic facilities and head the client engagement of corrective and preventive actions and standard enhancement programs.
• Manages internal audits and certification initiatives and other quality assurance processes/ initiatives, in partnership with the state team, of the labs, which includes quality assurance inspections plans and the collection excellent quality regulate records; ensure the accessibility of premium quality recordkeeping.
• Formulate quality assurance and QA operational structures in partnership with current employees and operational structures and ensures associated recordkeeping, development and supervising Evaluate and track Quality assurance and Quality control initiatives of the Laboratory to decide conformance with established rules, national rules, and certification qualifications.
• Directs endeavors to organize laboratories for certification locally, regionally, nationally, and globally acknowledged certification bodies. 
• Directs execution and supervising endeavors that improve diagnostic parts which includes specimen referral, stock chain, tools management, growth of point-of-care diagnostic solutions, Standards oversight System, biosafety, and biosecurity.
• Directs the development and successful execution of project workplans and financial plans.
• Manages and delivers technical direction and guidance to employees for laboratory solutions at the appointed states of activity execution and other settings as suitable.
• Liaises with external participants and associates.
• Supervises and observes operational structures, solutions, and employees to attain project targets.
• Aids and manages the project setup of prompt and precise technical and financial statements which includes financial plans.
• Directs or aids business development endeavors concerning diagnostics.
• Formulate lessons learned from initiatives connected with laboratory solutions and management for HIV/Helps care and treatment and submit application these lessons to enhance both current programs and the design of new programs Remain informed on new findings in the site of laboratory tech that refer to HIV/Helps, OI, malaria care and treatment by analyzing ongoing literature, and draw implications from analysis for programme initiatives.
• Conceptualizes idea papers, abstracts, manuscripts and analysis papers to enhance and extend current laboratory initiatives.
• Assist the Associate Director in coordinating the FHI 360 Laboratory Solutions Department, defining plans, targets, targets and operating strategize and supervising their execution.
• Oversee and train other FHI360 lab employees both at the state and site level to enhance and preserve high guidelines of effectiveness in all their local laboratory initiatives.
• Play a main responsibility in coordinating and preserving sophisticated cooperative lab programs with international associates Execute other obligations as allocated.

Commute Qualifications:
