Position Overview

The Quantity survey specialist will help top level surveyors and PMs in coordinating the expenses and financial plans of building projects. The position includes assisting the project setup of estimates, bid proposals, cost assessments, and cost documentation, while gaining practical expertise in expense management and project coordination inside the building industry.

Primary duties

  • Help in getting ready budget forecasts, financial plans, and bid proposals for building projects.
  • Assist the measurement and appraisal of works in advancement (both in-field and from drawings).
  • Assist with getting ready interim payment applications and concluding accounts.
  • Carry out on-site visits to collect measurements and track milestone tracking.
  • Help in cost evaluation, predicting, and project setup of financial statements.
  • Support to agreement management, which includes analyzing scope changes and requests.
  • Preserve precise records of materials, work, and external vendor expenses.
  • Coordinate with service providers, suppliers, and customers under the oversight of lead personnel.
  • Guarantee adherence with organisation guidelines, workplace safety and wellness rules, and standardized best practices.
  • Assist top level surveyors in talks with participants.

Credentials and Competencies

  • Bsc or Higher national diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building Management, or a relevant field.
  • Robust quantitative and critical thinking.
  • Competence in Office productivity software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); expertise in AutoCAD or CostX is a plus.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Meticulousness and capability to operate to due dates.
  • Growth mindset and formulate inside the position.
  • Basic comprehension of building methods and materials.
  • Must possess a (2.1) or higher
