Top level Pipeline Engineer at Oilserv Limited in Abuja

Position Overview

The Top level Pipeline Engineer will be Domain specialist/Technical Authority on every facet of the pipeline engineering and building initiatives and methods. He will also be the responsible and in charge person for all on-site initiatives bordering on pipeline engineering, installation and constructability. He shall render building assist to the building team while at the same time partnering with the design team on pipeline associated concerns and initiatives. The appropriate fit is anticipated to possess a balance of both site/on-site and design expertise.

Position Description

• Status updates to the AKK Engineering operations manager, the Top level Pipeline Engineer will be in charge of coordinating all mechanical engineering initiatives ranging from 
• Preserve consistent and uninterrupted interface and operating partnership with Frazimex on all pipeline concerns/matters/inputs towards the smooth finalization of the pipeline design & building scope of the AKK project.
• Evaluate all key pipeline outputs from Frazimex Engineering for the AKK project before they are issued to the customer.
• Reads and interprets survey data, alignment sheets, lawful explanation, government guidelines and codes, and applies to design.
• Executes calculations, utilizing expertise in algebra, geometry and trigonometry as necessary.
• Engage in consistent project technical sessions with (1) Frazimex and (2) customer/customer rep. on project system problems.
• Build, preserve and oversee all customer/customer rep. interface on pipeline concerns and scope for the AKK project.
• Pay consistent and regular on-site visits to the different AKK project sites to settle, assist and track pipeline building and installation initiatives.
• Assist the AKK procurement department and procurement process with necessary and applicable technical support to actively sustain the procurement process for pipeline materials for the project.
• Oversee the initiatives of vendors and subcontractors operating on pipeline installation works for the AKK project.
• Deep knowledge of pipeline laying methods using Launch cut, HDD, crossings etc especially on rocky terrain. 
• Good comprehension of ancillary pipelines system setups which includes fibre optic cable, pipeline cathodic protection operational structures, pipeline mechanical protection methods, markers etc.
• Carry out Vendor/Suppliers/OEM content evaluation and internal authorization on all pipeline materials.
• Serve as the Domain specialist/Technical Authority on all pipeline initiatives, methods, matters, proficiency, support etc for the Oilserv Group.
• Stand for Oilserv in any other technical and business capacity as may arise in the AKK project.

Qualifications

• At least bachelor's in engineering / Technology in Mechanical or Generation Engineering. 
• Master's degree in Engineering is a plus.
• At least 10+ years of operating expertise in pipeline installation, design engineering and procurement assist
