Top level Finance Expert at Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) in Ikeja, Lagos

Position Overview 

We are looking for a highly proficient and meticulous finance specialist with 5–7 years of demonstrated expertise in finance reporting, legal adherence, and tariff evaluation inside the Nigerian business environment, ideally in controlled industries. The preferred candidate will ensure precise finance reporting, ensure adherence with statutory and compliance obligations, and carry out deep tariff assessments to assist business strategic judgment and income optimization.

Legal adherence:

• Guarantee promptness submitting of all statutory returns (FIRS, State IRS, PENCOM, ITF, NSITF, etc.).
• Preserve current expertise in applicable financial legal provisions, tax rules, and industry-specific adherence qualifications.
• Coordinate with auditors, authorities, and other applicable governing bodies to guarantee smooth adherence methods.
• Organize and send necessary documentation to sector authorities and other relevant agencies.

Other Obligations:

• Assist yearly financial planning and periodic predicting.
• Engage in financial system enhancements and automatic control programs.
• Offer direction to entry-level finance employees on adherence and status updates qualifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or associated discipline.
• A member of a professional body: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is essential.
• Expertise: 5–7 years post-certification expertise in finance reporting, legal adherence, and tariff evaluation in Nigeria, ideally in a controlled sector (e.g., power, utilities, telecoms).

Specialized abilities:

• Competence in IFRS status updates.
• Solid understanding of Nigerian tax legal provisions and compliance-related frameworks.
• Improved Excel and financial forecasting competencies.
• Understanding with Enterprise platform planning operational structures (SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Interpersonal abilities:

• Logical and solution-oriented capability.
• Robust meticulousness and precision.
• Clear articulation and stakeholder engagement competencies.
