Job Description

Duties

  • Offer technical head and proficiency on strong effect reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCAH+N) and gender-based violence (GBV) solutions that are sound, evidence-based and responsive to the needs of project states and at the National level as recognized.
  • Offer guidance and direct assist to State and LGA health institutions on the consolidation of these solutions into established service dispatch operational structures at different levels of care in the State.
  • Work alongside other participants at the National and State level to submit application lessons learned, advancements and quality methods to guarantee evidence-based procedures are translated to upgraded execution excellent quality-of-care interventions.
  • Offer engineering guidance to the strengthening of national and local technical and corporate capacity using proven development approaches and standard enhancement structured approaches.
  • Offer learning and IT assistance to state and LGA health institutions on the consolidation of RMNCAH+N, GBV, and primary health care (PHC) key focuses into organizing and financial planning methods.
  • Directly engage with state and LGA PHC executive guidance, state PHC Taskforces, and similar bodies to offer mentoring, training, and development to improve executive guidance, management, and compliance competencies to enhance asset stewardship.
  • Offer IT assistance to primary stakeholders at the national and State level which includes evaluate of technical documents and offer input to applicable rules and plans.
  • Organize closely with other development work collaboratively programs at the national and state level.
  • Support to and organize with the programme’s M&E team on initiatives to guarantee that the programme meets set targets in accordance with national and donor guidelines.
  • Stand for programme at national and state level participant sessions and technical operating groups in engagement to RMNCAH+N and associated technical zones.

Management:

  • Support yearly work organizing, development strategies and every quarter documentation and other necessary technical documentation.
  • Offer engineering guidance on the prompt, precise and suitable status updates of programme initiatives and outcomes.
  • Support and guarantee standard programme execution regular with FMOH RMNCH and WHO Standard procedures and strategic directions, worldwide industry standards which includes guidance on applicable latest health progress updates & publications.
  • Organize the assessment of programme advancement against outputs on a every quarter basis.
  • Organize with the other members of the technical team and associates to formulate and execute feasible national and state-based approaches.
  • Execute other obligations as allocated by the Project head which support to the accomplishment of programme targets.

Credentials

  • A Doctor or Skilled Nursing officer or Maternal health worker or any other strongly connected health care specialist; specialization in obstetrics and gynecology or Community health and other health associated courses at a postgraduate level (e.g. PhD, MPH, and Master's degree in International Health, Community-related Sciences or other applicable Academic qualification)
  • At least 8 years’ operating expertise in the zones of RMNCH, Nutrition, and family organizing.
  • The Top level RMNCH Technical consultant must be a proven technical leader in the site of international RMNCH with some leadership background in community health programs.
  • S/he must be knowledgeable about the reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCAH+N) group in Nigeria.
  • The Top level RMNCAH+N Technical consultant must be intimately knowledgeable about the circumstance in Nigeria and possess in-country expertise with donor programs. Additional credentials comprise of:
  • Previous expertise operating on an international donor financed project is a plus.
  • Understanding with the FMOH, SMOH systems and processes especially as it concerns MNCH is highly preferred.
  • Exhibited competence in operating directly with organizer-country government authorities and regulatory framework makers in maternal health.
  • Expertise operating with organizer-country associates, entities, and institutions.
  • Proficient abilities in system problems, design, execution and supervising of programme parts, e.g. solutions, development, standard enhancement, support and synchronization.
  • Exhibited capacity to operate with African professionals and associates in conceptualizing technical materials and offering development to enhance service dispatch, support and asset mobilization for expanding RMNCH.
  • Robust verbal, listening, drafting, and intrapersonal competencies crucial for efficient synchronization among several institutions and employees participated in a extensive range of initiatives
  • Robust capability to juggle duties will be highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English, (documented and spoken communication information exchange) and any local language.
  • Readiness to commute throughout Nigeria as necessary.
