Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Medical laboratory technologist to execute premium quality diagnostic tests that assist in the discovery, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. The preferred candidate will have a solid experience in laboratory standardized processes, precision, and dedication to quality assurance.

Primary duties

• Execute standard procedure and expert laboratory tests on blood, urine, stool, tissues, and other body fluids
• Evaluate test outcomes and documentation findings to physicians or other healthcare vendors
• Operate and preserve laboratory tools which includes microscopes, cell counters, analyzers, and centrifuges
• Collect and process specimens following proper safety and managing standardized processes
• Carry out quality assurance and QA running test and recordkeeping
• Analyze and confirm laboratory outcomes, recognizing abnormal findings and diagnosing issues errors
• Preserve precise records of all test outcomes and laboratory initiatives

Credentials

• Bsc in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Tech, or relevant field
• Must be authorized and registered with the suitable medical laboratory science council (e.g., MLSCN in Nigeria)
• Demonstrated expertise in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting
• Solid understanding of laboratory instruments, procedures, and standardized processes
• Meticulousness and precision in managing specimens and outcomes.
