Position Overview

We are looking for an skilled and detail-oriented Microbiologist to head microbiological quality assurance processes at our Spoken communication Reliable Dosage (OSD) facility in Sagamu. This position is accountable for managing microbiological running test initiatives and ecological supervising programs to guarantee full adherence with cGMP, internal quality operational structures, and compliance-related requirements.

Duties

  • Organize and supervise routine microbiological running test, which includes unedited materials, in-process samples, finished goods, and water operational structures (PW/WFI).
  • Oversee ecological and staff supervising in cleanrooms and other regulated environments.
  • Evaluate and authorize microbiological test documentation and ensure information accuracy in all records.
  • Head certification, confirmation, and trend evaluation of microbiological methods and EM operational structures.
  • Guarantee alignment to WHO, NAFDAC, cGMP, and other governance policies.
  • Explore microbiological deviations, OOS outcomes, and manage execution of CAPAs.
  • Offer technical direction and training to microbiology supervisors and analysts.
  • Track and oversee stock of microbiology lab inventory and consumables.
  • Organize technical documentation for audits, inspections, and internal assessments.
  • Work alongside Quality assurance, Generation, and Engineering to assist adherence and ongoing development.

Certification & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree/Master's degree in Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, or a relevant field.
  • 4 – 6 years of expertise in pharmaceutical microbiology, ideally in OSD production operations.
  • Established leadership or synchronization expertise in microbiological quality assurance.
  • Solid understanding of microbial limit running test, water running test, cleanroom guidelines, and aseptic methods.
  • Understanding with pharmacopeial and compliance guidelines (USP, BP, WHO, NAFDAC).

Essential skills:

  • Robust specialized skill in pharmaceutical microbiology and aseptic procedures.
  • Verified ability to head teams and organize cross-operational quality initiatives.
  • Sound judgment in inquiries, CAPA execution, and legal adherence.
  • Outstanding recordkeeping competencies with a concentration on information accuracy and audit preparedness.
  • Skilled in LIMS, lab software, and Office productivity software resources.
