About the Position
This position will offer strategic direction, direct assist, and skills development to guarantee associates, especially those in conceptualizing countries, can productively engage with public sector actors to secure the regulatory framework terms, lawful frameworks, and public financing needed for tutor placement, long term financial long-term viability, scaling up and systemic effect. The preferred candidate brings a solid experience in public sector relation, regulatory framework, and international development, with expertise advising or operating alongside grassroots and locally-guided entities in navigating public sector ecosystems.
Primary duties
- Advise and assist network associates and potential associates, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America, in interacting with government ministries, local governing bodies, multi-party and two-party actors to:
- Secure government financing and entry to two-party and multi-party assets
- Establish and shape empowering legal & regulatory frameworks
- Match with national and subnational education key focuses for broader system shape
- Offer direction and mentoring to associates on participant mapping, government affairs plan, multi-party and two-party financing strategies
- Mentor associates in navigating public sector financing, calls for proposals and technical support mechanisms
- Assist the development of connections with key two-party and multilaterals to launch financing and collaboration avenues for country-level associates
- Design and head learning experiences, peer networks, and expertise-exchanging programs for collaborating organizations on government and multi-party relation
- Formulate resources, frameworks, and case studies that bring to attention efficient procedures and assist associates in embracing them
Credentials
- A minimum of 12 years of expertise in government affairs, international development, public management, or a relevant field.
- Demonstrated achievement operating with or within public institutions, multi-party entities, or two-party donors
- Necessary expertise assisting or working alongside grassroots and locally guided entities in conceptualizing public sector relation plans in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia Pacific or Latin America
- Exceptional building relationship, facilitation and mentoring competencies across cultures
- Deep knowledge of regulatory framework-making, development funding, and government operational structures, especially in the education sector and in conceptualizing countries
- Strategic thinker with the capability to navigate sophisticated political and business environments
- Comfort operating in a worldwide, networked, and dynamic environment
- English fluency necessary; additional language(s) firmly preferred
