Overview

The successful applicant will be in charge of carrying out ultrasound examinations to generate premium quality diagnostic images. The position requires a deep knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the capability to operate ultrasound tools productively.

Duties

  • Execute diagnostic imaging standardized processes, which includes X-rays, ultrasounds, and other modalities.
  • Work alongside radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare experts to analyze and organize imaging outcomes.
  • Execute a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, which includes abdominal, obstetrical, gynaecological, vascular, and other speciality zones as needed.
  • Follow hospital rules, procedures, and radiography/sonography guidelines.
  • Engage in standard enhancement programs to enhance imaging solutions.
  • Making sure clear images for diagnostic purposes and making modifications to the sonographic tools as required.
  • Supervising and caring for patients to guarantee their safety and comfort during the imaging standardized processes.
  • Demonstrating the sonograms and preliminary findings to the Physicians.
  • Executing the suitable recordkeeping and preserving patients' records and medical records.
  • Helping Physicians and the healthcare teams during invasive standardized processes.
  • Operate sonography tools to document and generate images of the structure, shape and motion of organs, blood, tissues or bodily masses
  • Select the accurate tools settings and adapt to get the best angles and sites
  • Scan patient and observe screen to make sure the image is acceptable and make tools modifications as needed
  • Organize patients for exams and observe during standardized processes to guarantee their comfort and safety
  • Decide the best images to comprise of in your documentation, noting differences between pathological and healthy zones
  • Follow safety rules as relevant, identify capability concerns and institute measures to prevent complications
  • Practice sterile standardized processes and prevent cross pollution
  • Preserve cleanliness and order of workstations, guest accommodations and tools
  • Coordinate with HOD and advisor in charge on case management, assessment and treatment strategy.
  • Carry out standardized processes as granted and authorized in clinical privilege record.
  • Transaction with patients helpfully and truthfully and oversee their employee concerns.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest medical information through uninterrupted medical education, official education and personal career advancement.
  • Coordinate and make clinical & non-clinical demonstrations at hospital clinical sessions as allocated.
  • Executing other relevant duty and obligations as allocated by the HOD and Advisor in charge.

Credentials

  • Associate or Bsc in Physiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a relevant field.
  • MBBS or its equivalent with up to 2 years’ expertise in medical and sonography practice.
  • Certification / Accreditation in Ultrasonography.
  • Applicable qualifications in BLS /ALS/ACLS.
  • Valid licensure as a ultrasound technologist.
  • At least 2 years of expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of sonography principles, methods, and safety procedures.
  • Clear articulation, interpersonal, and patient care competencies.
  • Competence in digital imaging software and tech.
  • Improved accreditation in sonography (e.g., RDMS, RDCS, RT(R)).
  • Expertise with picture archiving and information exchange operational structures (PACS).
  • Expertise in standard enhancement structured approaches.
  • Specialist skilled.
  • Resuscitation competencies and standardized processes – Basic and improved life assist.
  • A ‘cool chief’ in crisis conditions.
  • Respect for patients and keeping good relations with teammates.
  • Competence in medical document recordkeeping.
  • Computer literacy, which includes understanding with electronic medical records (EMR) operational structures.
  • Expertise operating in a diagnostic imaging setting will be an added advantage.
  • Robust meticulousness and precision.
