Overview
- We're looking for a Top level L2 Devops engineer to offer improved IT assistance for structure-associated incidents and service requests.
- This position ensures the stability, effectiveness, and guard of core IT support while serving as a bridge between L1 assist and technical groups.
- The preferred candidate brings robust diagnosing issues proficiency, practical experience with structure technical solutions, and the capability to excel in dynamic, controlled environments.
Structure Processes:
- Track and preserve servers, storage, network devices, and cloud (Azure) structure.
- Execute standard procedure servicing & maintenance, patching, and upgrades across operational structures.
- Assist backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Formulate and implement routine servicing & maintenance scripts for preventive supervising and status updates.
Recordkeeping & Adherence:
- Preserve precise recordkeeping of operational structures, settings, and standardized processes.
- Guarantee adherence with organizational guidelines and external frameworks (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
- Engage in audits and offer technical evidence as necessary.
Partnership & Guidance:
- Collaborate with application assist, Development-operations, and guard teams to guarantee smooth processes.
- Train entry-level engineers and advance information exchange inside the team.
- Support to adjustment management and release organizing methods.
Expertise & Competencies:
- 4+ years of expertise in Technology infrastructure assist or operational structures management.
- Solid understanding of Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and relationship building.
- Practical experience with cloud channels (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments.
- Proficient with tracking software (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ticketing operational structures (ServiceNow, Jira).
- Understanding with Financial technology or banking adherence guidelines is highly preferred.
- Robust logical and analytical abilities, with a process-driven mentality.
- Clear articulation and stakeholder engagement competencies.
- Verified ability to operate in dynamic, high-adherence environments.
- Multi-country or Pan-African expertise is advantageous.
