Position Overview

We are looking for an skilled Top level Editing spacialist to head and oversee our editorial department. The preferred candidate will supervise the full scope of editorial process, from manuscript purchase to publication, making sure all content meets the highest guidelines excellent quality, precision, and creativeness. As a Top level Editing spacialist, you will offer organizational approach, train a team of editors, proofreaders and creative writers, and collaborate with authors and other departments to attain the organization’s publishing targets.

Key Positions

• Head and oversee the editorial team, making sure productive process and compliance to due dates.
• Formulate, execute, and ensure adherence to editorial rules, standard procedures and quality benchmarks.
• Supervise the editing, proofreading, and generation of records, manuscripts and other publications.
• Work alongside authors, UI/UX professionals, generation and promotion teams to supply premium quality publications on timetable.
• Recognize and obtain promising manuscripts and proposals that match with the organization’s aspiration and industry trends.

Duties

• Evaluate, refine and authorize manuscripts for visual precision, grammar, style, and uniformity.
• Verify that every publications meet editorial guidelines, corporate identity voice and ethical publishing procedures.
• Supervise copyediting, proofreading and fact-checking methods.
• Offer developmental editing to enhance framework, readability and audience relation.
• Mentor and train other editors, proofreaders and creative writers, presenting feedback criticism.
• Oversee the editorial process from purchase to concluding publication.
• Organize with design, generation and promotion teams to guarantee the prompt release of publications.
• Track copyright, permissions and regulatory adherence concerns.
• Stay abreast of market trends, digital advancements and new publishing avenues.
• Formulate and oversee editorial calendars and plans to deliver on time.
• Support to plans for expanding readership and rising market presence.
• Assess industry trends to mentor purchases and publishing decisions.
• Assist the development of digital and multimedia publishing goods.

Credentials/Competencies

• Bsc in English, Linguistics, Mass Information exchange, Publishing, or a relevant field (MSC is a plus).
• 5–7 years of progressive editorial expertise, which includes supervisory duty.
• Exceptional editing, proofreading and skilled in writing with a robust command of grammar, style and editorial industry standards.
• Established leadership, organisational and project-management abilities; capable to manage various projects while delivering consistently.
• Clear articulation and people skills for partnering with authors and cross-operational teams.
• Good comprehension of copyright law, permissions and ethical publishing procedures.
• Understanding with digital publishing resources and channels (a desirable asset).
