About the Position

TAAS Group of Schools is looking for a highly proficient and devoted Physics/Chemistry Tutor with robust competence in practical training and student project setup for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations. The preferred candidate must possess comprehensive classroom and laboratory expertise, a enthusiasm for science education, and the capability to educate and train students to attain outstanding outcomes.

Primary duties

• Train Physics and Chemistry productively at the upper high school level.
• Organize lesson strategies, schemes of work, and instructional materials in sync with WAEC, NECO, and JAMB guidelines.
• Carry out compelling practical sessions in line with examination qualifications, making sure students are skilled in laboratory competencies.
• Educate and train students to excel in external examinations (WAEC, NECO, JAMB).
• Track and assess students’ academic advancement, offering response and extra assist where necessary.
• Preserve discipline, produce a stimulating learning environment, and motivate students’ interest in science.
• Work alongside teammates and school management to enhance academic results.
• Ensure safety and proper use of laboratory tools and materials.

Qualifications & Credentials

• Bsc in Physics, Chemistry, Science Education, or a relevant field (MSC is a plus).
• 5–10 years of proven educational background experience in Physics and Chemistry at the high school grade.
• Exhibited competence in practicals and practical laboratory guidance.
• Outstanding track document of getting ready students for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations.
• Clear expression, classroom management, and training competencies.
• Required location Ibadan, ideally inside or close to the Apata region for availability.
