Position and Duties
- To operate closely with teammates to execute speedy and precise processing of samples, confirm outcomes, and oversee support personnel (where relevant) to offer a premium quality service to all laboratory users.
- Capable to use a bike to collect samples and supply outcomes.
- Preserve and ensure adherence to good laboratory procedures to guarantee adherence with compliance guidelines.
- Track and ensure the on-schedule finish of tests to meet turnaround time targets.
- Uphold premium standard guidelines for all laboratory-produced outcomes.
- Evaluate within and outside the organization quality documentation to recognize zones for advancement and ensure most effective laboratory effectiveness.
- To support to the development and execution of new standard operating standardized processes.
- To productively oversee business assets, which includes reagents, consumables, and kits.
- Produce periodic documentation on medical laboratory effectiveness to guide strategic judgment and coordinate process enhancements.
- To guarantee proper functioning of laboratory tools and compliance to set timelines for tools maintenance and servicing.
Qualifications
- At least Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) with a ongoing practising permit issued by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) is essential. A Master of Medical Laboratory Science will be a distinct advantage.
- Preferred - Multidisciplinary proficiency (preferred): Possess 3+ years' uninterrupted expertise in Blood Transfusion, Medical Microbiology, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, and Molecular Biology.
- Expertise with a wide array of analysers, both for point-of-care and laboratory-based applications.
- Accreditation in standards oversight operational structures is preferred, but work expertise in an ISO-accredited facility (or other healthcare certification) could suffice.
