Mathematics Tutor at TechEdu Consult in Abuja (FCT)

Position Objective

To strategize supply, and evaluate compelling Mathematics lessons that promote critical thinking, issue resolution, and academic superiority in line with the school’s syllabus, with a robust emphasis on the Cambridge Checkpoint Syllabus.

Primary duties

• Train Mathematics across allocated year groups, which includes Checkpoint classes, using impactful training methods.
• Formulate and supply well-organized lesson strategies in sync with the Cambridge Checkpoint Syllabus and other school guidelines.
• Organize educational resources, tasks, and evaluations appropriate for Checkpoint and beyond.
• Track and assess student advancement, offering response and assist where needed.
• Produce a positive, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
• Preserve classroom discipline and motivate active student involvement.
• Combine tech and modern training plans into lessons.
• Organize students for within and outside the organization examinations, especially Checkpoint evaluations.
• Convey productively with parents/guardians on student advancement.
• Engage in unit-specific sessions, development, and school initiatives.
• Train, mentor, and motivate students to build trust in Mathematics.

Credentials & Competencies

• At least Bsc in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or relevant field.
• Training certification (PGDE, TRCN registration) is a plus.
• Exposure to and expertise with the Cambridge Checkpoint Syllabus is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise training Mathematics at primary/secondary level.
• Robust subject expertise and enthusiasm for training.
• Outstanding classroom management and verbal abilities.
• Capability to use online platforms and assets to improve learning.
