Position Overview

The Top level Quantity Surveyorwill be in charge of supervising ongoing building projects to guarantee they are carried out within financial plan, timetable, and quality benchmarks. The position includes coordinating expenses, agreements, procurement, and accounting records while assisting project participants in delivering most effective value for money.

Primary duties

• Organize budget forecasts, invoices of quantities, and bid proposals.
• Send tenders and engage in offering and bargain forums.
• Bargain with suppliers and subcontractors to secure attractive terms.
• Oversee financial plans, which includes cost predicting and supervising.
• Preserve precise finance records and recordkeeping for all project-associated financial record.
• Offer informed opinion on procurement, risk mitigation strategy, and cost-effectiveness.
• Comprehend customer qualifications and execute quantity take-offs based on RCP and marking drawings.
• Recognize and settle differences between BOQ and project drawings, requirements, and agreement terms.
• Engage in pre-tender initiatives and increase applicable pre-offer queries with customers, architects, and PMs.
• Organize starting quotes and agreement recordkeeping for the business development team.
• Organize with design teams to evaluate architectural and MEP drawings.
• Manage work cost assessments, requests, and scope changes with service providers and advisors.
• Organize interim and concluding cost assessments and building requests.
• Carry out viability assessments and head cost optimization methods.
• Work alongside participants to enhance resulting deliverables and ensure financial viability.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Quantity Surveying, Building Management, or a relevant field.
• At least 10 years of related experience in quantity surveying.
• A member of a professional body or membership in quantity surveying or building bodies.
• Expertise across residential and business-related projects.
• Expertise in health, safety, and ecological guidelines.
• Competence with quantity takeoff resources, BIM, and surveying software.

Core Skills:

• Improved comprehension of building procedures, codes, and compliance guidelines.
• Expertise in National Building Code (NBC), ANSI/ASHRAE, and LEED guidelines.
• Understanding with general negotiating, design-build, and value-based projects.
• Competence in interpreting AutoCAD drawings and verifying quantities.

• Outstanding handling multiple responsibilities, organizing, and prioritization abilities.
• Competence in agreement law and building agreement management.
