Job Description

Responsibilites

Set up and operate abrasive blasting tools, which includes blast pots, hoses, and nozzles.
Select and use the accurate abrasive media based on project requirements and surface qualifications.
Execute surface project setup through abrasive blasting to attain the specified cleanliness and surface profile.
Verify that every surfaces are free from rust, old coatings, and other harmful substances before the coating application.
Preserve all blasting tools in good operating requirement and documentation any faults or concerns at once.
Work in synchronization with Painters and Coating Inspectors to guarantee smooth project flow.
Engage in pre-position risk evaluations and toolbox talks to guarantee all safety measures are comprehend and followed.
Follow all safety procedures, which includes operating with licenses to operate, and using suitable personal protective tools (PPE), which includes a full-face respirator.
Help in the servicing & maintenance of thorough records of work carried out, which includes abrasive usage and surface project setup outcomes.

Qualifications

A applicable a member of a professional body in abrasive blasting is essential.
At least 8 years of expertise as a Blaster, with a minimum of 5 years particularly in an remote marine operations petroleum sector environment, with a established history of operating on the Bonga FPSO.
Demonstrated expertise with abrasive blasting for servicing & maintenance, building, and turnaround projects.
The applicant must hold valid remote marine operations qualifications which includes BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certification.
This role requires operating in a difficult remote marine operations industrial environment on channels or vessels.
Robust competence in abrasive blasting methods and tools process.
